Spring review: how am I doing with my 2018 plan?

Posted by in Productivity

Three months have passed since I planned for 2018. It’s time to review the beginning of the year and see where I am on track and where I’m falling behind. I had a very ambitious plan, with 11 different categories where I wanted to progress… How does that match with real life? Is it possible to go from written objectives to reality? Is it that easy? The answer is yes… and no. Spring review in action Looking back at my yearly objectives, I decided to evaluate them according to three…read more

On the agenda for 2018

Posted by in Productivity

After giving a good look at what happened in 2017, it was time to sit down and decide what I would like to see happening in 2018. Truth is, I did that in one day. I took a day off in December and spent it reviewing and planning. It came to my attention that some people spend weekends on it, sometimes more. I try to manage to put it all in one day. It was a jam-packed one but it gave me a good idea of what to put on…read more

2017 review: next year starts now

Posted by in Productivity

Pretty much every year, for as long as I can remember, I have conducted all sorts of reviews and resolutions. A few years back the “resolutions” trend wore off, and people started talking about “objectives”, “bucket lists”. I like to call it a look ahead, a plan of sorts. Last week I had the pleasure of being interviewed by my KisCool for their vlog “Quoi ma gueule“. Somehow we ended-up talking about time tracking (and my obsession with love for Toggl). Turns out, with the multiple projects I’m juggling right now, there’s nothing I could do without a little organization. How to stay organized when there’s more to do than time in a day? Like many things in life, everything starts with setting the right goal. Organization is nothing if it is not at the service of something bigger. What…read more

Regular inspiration: open your senses!

Posted by in Productivity

Here’s what a life without regular inspiration would be like: get up, do the same morning routine, eat the same food, go to work at the same place, sit at the same desk, eat the same food for lunch, work on the same things in the afternoon, run on the same treadmill, finish the day in the same bar, drinking the same drink, with the same friends. And the next day: do it all over again. Sounds familiar? I’m not saying that my life doesn’t have many similarities with this…read more

Accountability groups: a great way to stay on track

Posted by in Productivity

When I left the World Domination Summit, last July, I had a million plus one ideas that I wanted to implement. One of them being: I’m going to write this book. Another one: I’m going to get that side-hustle going. And I’m going to start being rewarded with free trips and other travel-related goodies. But of course, and I’m sure you can relate to that, all those big plans started fading away as soon as I landed in Philadelphia. Life came back full speed at me and all my hopes…read more
